On Friday, June 11, 1993 bids for the xeferenced project were received
and read aloud publicly. Six bids were received and are listed for
your review on the attached bid'tabulation. '
The apparent low bid received is from Busse Construction, Bel1e Plain,
Minnesota in the amount of $211, 800.91.
The engineers estimate was $190, 000 based on 1992 construction costs.
S.E.H. , Inc. will check the bids for accuracy and will have a
recommendation as to award on Tuesday night. The appropriate
resolution will be handed out Tuesday night.

A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT
VALLEY OAK POND OUTLET, PHASE 1
CITY PRDJECT 197
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Councii of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as
follows:
1 . All bids on construction of Valley Oak Pond Outlet, Phase 1 are hereby
received and tabulated.
" 2. The bid of Busse Construction in the amount of 5211,800.91 for the
construction of said improvements in accordance with the plans and
specifications and advertisement for bids is the lowest responsible bid
and shall be and hereby is accepted.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for
and on behalf of the City of Rosemount.
4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to
all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of
all successful bidder and the next two lowesfi bidders shall be retained
until a contract has been executed.
ADOPTED this 15th day of June, 1993.

Dear Bud:
On Friday, june 11, 1993 at 10:00 a.m., six bids were received for the above referenced
projecE. The bids ranged from a high of$414,347.74 to a low of$211,800.91. The low bid
was submitted by Busse Construction, Inc The Engineer's Estimate was $190,000. A
summary of the bids is attached for your review
We have investigated the qualifications of Busse Construction, Inc. and find that they (1)
have a sufficient understanding of the project and equipment to perform the construction
for which it bid;and(2)according to their bonding agent they presen�ly have the financial
abiliiy to complete the project bid. SEH makes no representation or warranty as to the
actual financial viability of the contractor or its ability to complete its work.
Accordingly, we recommend the project be awarded to Busse Construction, Inc. in the
amount of$211,800.91.
