The Rosemount Area Hockey Association has pledged up to $100, 000 for
assistance in funding the completion of the Multi-Purpose Arena. In
anticipation of that level of contribution several items were intentionally
left out of the bids for the project.
One of those items was the Zamboni ice machine, used to resurface the ice.
Representatives of Rosemount Area Hockey Associations (RAHA) have indicated
that they would be willing to spend a portion of their pledged dollars to
purchase a used and completely reconditioned Zamboni. In order to get a
good one in time for next years opening, they need to proceed now in
putting in their order.
I would suggest that this is an excellent use of those funds and a
tremendous saving to the City.
RECObIlKENDED ACTION:
Motion to accept the offer from �he Rosemount Area Hockey Association
to purchase a reconditioned Zamboni to be donated to the City for its
use in the new Multi-Purpose Arena.
