Purchase of Office Furniture/Equipment CITY OF ROSEMOUNT EXECUTIVE SIIMMARY FQR ACTION CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: DECEMBER 21, 1993 AGENDA ITEM: PURCHASE OF OFFICE FURNITURE/ AGENDA SECTION: EQUIPMENT CONSENT PREPARED BY: RON WASMUND AGENDA ��M � INTERIM CITY ADMINISTRATOR ATTACHMENTS: NONE AP VED BY: This a request for Council consideration to approve expenditures from the 1993 CIP budget for the following furniture and equipment: (1) Five drawer file cabinet for the administrative assistant at a cost not to exceed $750. This will replace a three drawer which will be given to one of the administration secretaries. (2) Office chairs (6 total) for the city engineer, building inspectors (2) , administration secretary, economic development/personnel secretary and planning department secretary. The ergonomic chairs I am interested in purchasing for these staff inembers cost approximately $375 with tax included or a total of $2250. I am recommending that funds be used as follows for these purchases: (1) CIP Account #202-49002-01-571 which was budgeted in the amount of $2000 for office chairs for staff; and (2) CIP Account #202-49002-01-573 which was budgeted in the amount of $1000 for office equipment/furniture for the public works department. There is a justified need for the file cabinet and the purchase of the six chairs will complete the update from old chairs to ergonomic ones in the administrative offices. RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTTON TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF FILE CABINETS AND SIX OFFICE CHAIRS WITH $2000 T0 BE EXPENDED FROM ACCOIJNT #2a2- 49002-01-571 AND $1000 FROM ACCOUNT 202-49002-01-573 .
