The City c�f Rosemount has been a member of MA.CTA for �everal years . MACTA
is the Minnesota Association of Cable Television Administrators . This is a
non-profit organization made up of mostly Cities who aperate �heir own
cable systems or, like us, hold franchises with private cable companies .
The main benefit of belonging to MACTA is having information available and
provided to us on the latest legislative and technical changes in the
industry. The oraganization also does labbying on behalf of i�s members an
cable legislation,
The cost of inembership is based on the number of hookups in the city. Our
cost for this years dues would be $150 .
The Utilities Commission has recammended your approval of the membership.

RECONIl+IENDED ACTION:Motion to approve the payment af $150. for the Citys
membership in MACTA for the next 12 mon:th period.
