NQNE Tn a quest to seek qualified applicants for the position of Pol ce Officer, 70 applications were received from the Minnesota Police Recruitment System (MPRS) . Twenty-one of the applicants were invited to be interviewed by a four-member Oral Board. Based on the tap overall combined score of 85.8, John Winters of Rosemount is our recommended choice. Mr. Winters received his Associates Degree in Law Enforcement from Inver Hills College in 1992 and achieved his "Skill" training requirement at Alexandria Technical College. In addition, Mr. Winters is a l7-year resident of Rosemount and has been an active Rosemount Police Reserve Officer for two years. Upon approval of the City Council, Mr. Winters' date of employment would be . on September 27, ].993, with an entry level salary of $2,387.73 per month.� RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE THE HIRING OF JOHN WINTERS AS A ROSEMOUNT POLICE OFFICER TO BEGIN HIS EMPLOYMENT ON SEPTEMBER 27, 1993.
