Jon Ryan, current Communi�y Center Commissioner and student representative
of Rosemount High School, has resigned from his post because he will be
attending college out of town this upcoming school year. The Community
Center Commission desires to have a current high school aged student ,
represent Rosemount High School at this time. Jon Ryan and Rita Gundacker,
current Community Center Commissioner and Assistant Principle at Rosemount
High School, have recommended Mr. Shawn Ullrich to replace Jon Ryan.
Shawn Ullrich is active in Student Cauncil, athletics, and a variety of
school activitie5. He will be attending Rosemount High School as a junior
this upcoming school year. He was chosen for his willingness to see a job
thr4ugh to its end, which is most suitable for the situation the Community
Center Commission is in at this �ime.
If approved by City Council, Shawn Ullrich wi11 officially serve as
Community Center Commissioner on September 9 , 1993, and serve a three year
term. Since appointments to expired terms are made annually by the City
Council at their second regular meeting in January, a11 Community Center
Commission. appointments, including the new replacement, will expire
February 1, 1996 .
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion to accept the resignation of Jon Ryan as Community Center
Commissioner. Motion to approve the appointment of Shawn Ullrich
as Alternate for Community Center Commissioner.
