Fire Department Salaries
In developing salary adjustments for city employees the one group that has
not been considered for 1993 is the Fire Department members.
These employees are paid for certain activities that they perform eithex on
a annual flat rate or on a hourly rate.
The fire department officers are all paid on an annual basis for the
services that they perform in their positions. All firefighters are paid
for training and service calls on an hourly basis. The rate of pay
differs for training versus callout pay.
In consideration of changes made to other employees and because the
firefighters pay has not been changed since 1990 I would recommend that the
salaries all be adjusted by 3's.
Current and adjusted salaries are broken down and presented on the attached
sheet for your consideration.
I would further recommend that these adjustments go into affect for the
second pay period in 1993 for the firefighters. This would mean that the
paycheck that they receive in October would reflect these changes.
RECOD�lEN'DED ACTION: Motion to approve a 3s salary adjustment to the
Rosemount fire department officers and firefighters effective for the
second pay period of 1993 .
