Mike Widstrom, a member of the Rosemount Fire Department, has submitted his
resignation effective September 14, 1993 . Mike has been a member of the
Rosemount Fire Department for 3-1/2 years. As is indicatied in his letter,
he feels that he no longer has the time available that is necessary to keep
up with the necessary training.
At a regular monthly meeting of the Rosemount Fire Department held on
September 28, 1993, the membership accepted Mike Widstrom' s resignation
with an effective date of September 14, 1993 .
We look to the city council to ratify this action.
RECONII�iENDED ACTION: Motion to ratify the fire department's aetion and
accept Mike Widstrom's resignation from the fire department effective
September 14, 1993 .

To the Members of the Rosemount Fire Department:
It is with regret that I submit my resignation from the Rosemount Fire
Department, effective September 14, 1993.
After considerable deliberation, I have come to the conclusion that I no
longer have the time necessary for the commitment it takes to be a well-
trained and effective member of the department,
I would like to thank the officers and members of the department for the
opportunity to be a part of a great department and for all the valuable
training and support I have received from everyone.
