As noted, the project is given a State Aid number so that the City can utilize State Aid funding for "off system" improvements if so inclined. The bid date has been set for July 26, 1993 . This project was approved for cooperative agreement funding two weeks ago. It competed with many other projects totalling over $10 million in construction costs for $3 million in available funding. On behalt of the City; I would like to thank Ron Bray of OSM for his efforts in guiding this project through the NIlSDOT process and procuring this funding. _ The Cooperative Agreement is now being written by NIlVDOT and is tentatively scheduled to be presented to the Council for its review and signature on July 20. The project will be bid on July 26 and brought back to Council on August 3 , 1993 for award. Staff recommends autharizing the Ad for Bid. CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESfJTA RES(�LUTION 1993 - A RESOLUT{ON AUTHORIZtNG ADVERTfSEMENT OF BIDS ARMORY-TRUNK HIGHWAY 3 IMPROVEMENTS S.P. 1921-58 CITY PROJECT #239 WHEREAS, the Consulting Engineers for the City have prepared final plans and specifications for Armory-Trunk Highway 3 }mprovements, S.P. 1921-58, City Project #239, and such plans and specifications were approved by this Councii on May 4, 1993. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota: 1 . The City Clerk shatl prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and in the Construction Bul{etin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved pfans and specifications for City Project #239. 2. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publ+cations at least once not less than three(3) weeks before the date set for opening bids, shal( specify the work to be done, shall state that bids wifl be publicly opened on July 26, 1993 at 10:30 o'clack a.m. at Rosemount City Hall in said City and that no bids wilt be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's cMeck, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five (5%) percent ofi the amount of such bid.
