On Friday, August 6, 1993 bids for the referenced proje were
received and read aloud publicly. Seven bids were received and are
listed for your review on �he attached bid tabulation. Bids ranged
from $192, 161.55 to $277,266.14 .
The low bid received is from S.J. Louis Gonstruction Co. , Inc. , Box
1373, St. Cloud, Minnesota 56302 in the amount of $192, 161.55 .
The engineers estimate was $264, 200 based on 1992 and 1993
constructian costs.
The firm of OSM & Associates, engineer far the project, and Staff
reeommend the award of Project No. 243, to S. J. Louis` Construction
Co. , Inc. , Box 1373 , St. Cloud, Minnesota 56302 in the amount of
$192, 161.55 .
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RES4LUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND
AWARDING CONTRACT FOR SHANNON HILLS 5TH ADDTTION STREET AND UTILITY
IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #243 .

A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARD{NG CONTRACT
FOR SHANNON HILLS 5TH ADQITION STREET AND UTILITY
IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 243
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Cauncil of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as
fotlows:
1 . Ail bids on construction of Shannon Hills 5th Addition Street and Utility
Improvements are fiereby received and tabulated.
2. The bid of S. J. Louis Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of
S 192,161 .55 for the construction of said improvements in accordance
with the plans and specifications and advertisement for bids is the
lowest responsible bid and sha11 be and hereby is accepted.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for
and on behalf of the City of Rosemount.
4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to
all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except fihat the deposit of
all successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shail be retained
until a contract has been executed.
ADOPTED this 17th day of August, 1993.

Dear Mayor and City Council:
Bids were received far the above-referenced project at 10:00 A.M., August 6, 1993 and were
opened and read aloud. A total of 7 respansible bids were received. S. J. Louis
Construction, Inc.,P.O. Box 1373, St. Cloud, Minnesota S63Q2 submitted the lawest bid in
the amount of $192,161.55. 'The bids were checked for mathematical accuracy and
tabulated. The Engineer's Estimate was $264,200.00.
We recommend award of the Contract to S. J. Louis Construction, Inc. in the amount of
$192,161.55.
