The City Council is asked to set a date of a pub ic he ing for an appeal of a Board of Appeals and Adjustments decisi n to deny a variance petition submitted by Raymond Rahn for the Rich Valley Golf Course. The requested variance would have allowed the petitioner to exceed accessory structure standards and expand a nonconforzning use in the Agriculture District. The Planning Commission felt that it would be more appropriate to resolve the zoning issue rather than to grant a variance not meeting the required findings. Under Section 16.2 of the Zoning Ordinance, the Planning Commission initiated a rezoning petition on behalf of Mr. Rahn. Mr. Rahn has appealed their decision to deny the variance. Both actions require public hearings.
