At the request and recommendation af representatives of the osemount
Area Hockey Association I made a request for the eost of making a change in
the construction of the locker room bathrooms and shower areas in the arena
portion of the Community Center.
These changes wouTd take the two bathrooms and shower areas and ereate four
bathrooms and shower areas . This change would allow us to have individual
bathrooms for each of the four locker areas.
When the facility was first designed it was not taken into consideration
the distinct and real possibility of having consistent use of the arena
locker rooms by both male and female ice user teams. Now that the school
district has ringette teams and R,AF�A also has ringette teams it is
virtually guaranteed that there will be use of the locker rooms by both
girls and bays at the same time.
By creating the four bathrooms we can provide separate facilities for girls
and boys and also provide secure areas for individual teams .
As of this writing I do not have the exact price quote for this change
order. I expect to have it by Monday. I would wait unti�. the next Council
meeting to get your consideration for the change order but the way the
construction is moving along if we don' t get approval by next week we may
hold the project up. �
I have been given an expected maximum cost of $2QOO. for this change.
Depending on the credits we receive for ce�tain items we won' t use with the
new arrangement the price may be less. I am piacing this on the agenda for
your consideration and am confident that I will have the exact price to you
by Monday evening.

� Revise Toilet Rooms No. I126 and I129, and revise Shower Rooms No. I127 and I128
�to the configuration inflicated on drawing P.Ft, 45; attached.
� Delete solid plastic toilet partitions and doors. Room finishes remain same as
onginatly scheduled, except ceiting height can be reduced to 8'-0" if necessary to accomodate

Provide eight�wall mounted shower heads in Iieu of two pedestal showers.
Extend supp�y�r ducts and provide two additional supply diffusers so that each of four
toilet-shower azeas will have supply air near the door. Add additional return air intakes and�
ductwork so that each of four toilet-shower azeas will have return air at the back of the toilet
