This year� s League of Minnesota Cities Conferen�e is to be held in St.
Cloud. The theme of �his year' s conference is "Building Bridges in New
Directions. °
The topics and speakers chosen provide for refresher courses in such areas
as dealing with the public, councilmember effectiveness and council/staff
team relationships.
It also will focus in on the significant changes taking place in the public
work place and the at�itudes and needs of the elected officials '
constituents.
Topics such as: Innovations in Finance, ADA Requirements, Long Range
Planning, and Growth Management are on the list of items to be presented.
The Council and Administration budgets have funds to allow the council and
Administrator to attend.
I would highly recommend your consideration for attending.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion to authorize the attendance of the Mayor, City Council and
City Administrator to attend the League of Minnesota Cities Confer�nce
at St. Cloud with payment of costs from budgeted accounts.
