Informal quotes were xequested of vendors for the purchase of softballs for
the 1993 adult. softball leagues and tournaments: Three vendors were
contacted. Their quotes and the recommendation for purchase is listed below.
Coordination is made with the Rosemount Mens Softball Association of
Rosemount with this purchase. This helps each of our programs to receive the
per dozen discount for this purchase. '
Please take into account that the cost of the balls are included in each
team's fees for the season. .
Quotes received:
STEICFiEN ATHLETIC $53.25 per dozen ( .09 more than 1992)
MN SPORTS FEDERATION $56.99 per dozen
KOKESH ATHLETIC $59.99 per dozen
A request for authorization at this time is for the purchase of l35 dozen of '
6�orth Ieather softballs from account #101-45100-81-219.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion �to approve the purchase of 135 dozen softballs from Steichen
Athletic for a price of $53 .25 per dozen at a total cost of $7,188.75.
Expenditures will come from account #101-45100-81-219.
