The Dakota County Housing and Redevelopment Authority is asking for a
resolution from the commissioners to guide it in its land acquisition
activities. That resolution is attached.

A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FACTS FOR THE��EOCR A N OF
CAMEO A`S+OR �ING PR�T
WHEREAS, the Dakota County Housing and Rede�elopment Authority wiroes��o w�ak with
the Rosemount Port Authority in development of a 40 unit senior housmg p � �
�VH�REAS, the HRA ha.s completed a study of two sites in downtown Rosemount for the
suita.bility for this development; and
yVHEgEAS, the Port Authority has at a public information meeting discussed the HRA finds
with affected residents; and
WHEREAS, demograpluc analysis has shown an increasing demand for senior housing; and
�iF.RF.AS, Community Development Block Grant money is presently available to initiate
land acquisition; and
WfIEREAS, the HRA's analyses have shown that the site known so w� sellersO,ld Bmost t
Church site presents the least neighborhood intrusion, has the mo g

cost effective, requires the least infrastructure modifications, and provides the best access to
downtown businesses.

record hereby declares the Cameo 5ite" as described at the Novembe ,
Authority meeting as the p,referred site for the Dakota. County Housing and Redevelopment
Authority's senior housing pro�ect•
