This item is on the agenda to approve the plans and specifications for
City Project No. 239 and to authorize the placement of "No Parking°
signs along T.H. #3 . The 35 sheet Plan set is on file in my office
for your review. Ron Bray, P.E. , from OSM Engineering will be present
to provide an overview of the project, update the Council on NIlVDOT
requirements and answer any questions you ma.y have. After City
approval of the plans and specifications, they are sent to NIl�TDOT for a
final review and approval. The attached project schedule will then be
followed for this Cooperative Agreement project. The Agreement cannot
be approved prior to July 1, 1993 due to the project being funded
within N�TDOT' s 1994 fiscal year which begins July 1, 1993 .
Staff recommends adoption of both resolutions.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
ARMORY - TRUNK HIGHWAY 3 IMPROVEMENTS
S.P. 1921-58
CITY PROJECT #239
WHEREAS, the Consulting Engineers for the City have prepared final plans and
specifications for Armory-Trunk Highway 3 Improvements, S.P. 1921-58, City Project
#239, and such plans and specifications have been presented to this Council for
approvaL•
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota, such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on
file in the office of the City Clerk.
ADOPTED this 4th day of May, 1993.

A RESOWTION DIRECTING PLACEMENT OF NO PARKING _
SIGNS ALONG STATE TRUNK HIGHWAY #3 BETWEEN CSAH 42
AND CONNEMARA TRAIL ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount is interested in the safety of its
residents; and
WHEREAS, the continued development in the City of Rosemount has produced high
volumes of vehicular and pedestrian traffic wi#hin the City of Rosemount; and
WHEREAS, vehicle parking along both sides of State Trunk Highway # 3 iTH #3y
between Dakota County State Aid Highway 42 and Connemara Trai1 does create a
hazard.
NOW THEREF�RE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount
directs the installation of the appropriate "No Parking" signs along the east side of TH
#3 between CSAH 42 and Connemara Trail and along the west side o# TH #3
between CSAH 42 to the entrance of the south parking lot of St. Joseph's Catholic
Church and from 143rd Street to Connemara TraiL

This letter follows our discussion about the schedule for completion af the above
referenced projec�t. Mn/DOT has programmed a project in the Coopera.tive Agreements
Program for fiscal year (FY) 1994. An agreement cannot be approved prior to Juiy 1,
1993 because of funding shortfalls for FY 1993.
The project schedule is atta.ched for your review and indicates Council actions required
during the process. 'I7�is schedule should accommodate the apening of the Armory this
fall. �
