This item is being initiated at the request of the Police and Public
Works Departments to insure that proper emergency responses can be
ma.de.
The discrepancy was revealed through the Police Department review of
their address records. The two options of causing the address change
are a request by the propertg owner or for the City to pass a
reso].ution requesting the action.
The property owner is the railroad with little interest one way or the
other, however, the tenant Mr. Ma.rvin Fritz, is not in favor of the
change.
The address assigned of 14760 South Robert Trail is duplicate to the
Fisher Building north of the Strese property. It is also
approximately 2 blocks out of sequence.
The change would cause a minor inconvenience to the tenant short term,
but correct the addressing error and insure proper emergency response.
Staff recommends a motion adopting the attached resolution.
