CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION
JULY 12, 1993
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a closed executive session of the Rosemount Port
Authority was duly held on Monday, July 12, 1993 at 5:41 p.rn. in the Council Lounge at City
Hall, 2975 - 145th Street West.
Chair Dunn called the meeting to order with all members present. Staff present included
Executive Director Jilk, Economic Deuelopment Coordinator Miller, and City Attorney Miles.
Chair Dunn stated the purpose of the closed session was to discuss the possibility of using
condemnation to acquire the Roy Abbott property by the Port Authority.
Attorney Miles explained to the Board the process the City would have to go through if the
City wished to condemn the property. Miles also explained the ability, under state law, for the
City to condemn the property in this case. Miles further explained that the City would have to
prove "public purpose" if they wanted ta condemn the property.
The Board discussed the cast of the property and the effects of the purchase price if the City
went through condemnation.
There being no further discussion on the matter of condemnation, Chair Dunn adjourned the
closed session at 5:55 p.m.
