Minutes of March 2, 1993 Closed Executive SessionROSEMOUNT PORT AUTHORITY PROCEEDINGS DRAFT CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION MARCH 2, 1993 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a closed executive session of the Rosemount Port Authority was duly held on Tuesday, March 2, 1993 at 6:20 p.m. in the Council Lounge at City Hall, 2875 - 145th Street West. Chairperson Dunn called the session to order with Commissioners Anderson, Carroll, Edwards, McMenomy, and Sinnwell present. Also present were Attorney David Allgeyer, Lindquist and Vennum, Executive Director Jilk, and Economic Development Coordinator Miller. The session was closed to allow the Port Authority members to receive legal advice in confidence. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss a settlement price to repurchase the Repairs, Inc. site. Considerable discussion ensued regarding the purchase price and a timeframe for acquisition. Consensus was reached to direct Allgeyer to offer Arlyn Cope of Repairs, Inc. $20,000 upon leaving the premises and inform him that the $12,000 in escrow would be retained by the Port Authority unless Repairs, Inc. relocated in Rosemount. Commissioners also agreed that the premises should be vacated in six months, unless a redevelopment agreement was signed, at which time Repairs, Inc. would be notified and have 60 days to vacate. Commissioners concurred that during that six months, the Port Authority would not collect rent for the property. Allgeyer was directed to advise Arlyn Cope that the Port Authority was not interested in condemning the property and had until a reasonable time before the closing to respond to the offer. MOTION by Dunn to adjourn the closed executive session. SECOND by Sinnwell. Ayes: 6. Nays: 0. Respectfully submitted, Deborah Widstrom Recording Secretary
