On Friday of last week I sent you copies of the redevelopment proposals
submitted by Dakota Central Partners and by Ron and Kerry Johnson. As I
noted then, I will submit a review of the proposals to you after the
principals are able to make their oral presentations.
I have visited with the principals and we are in agreement that each shall
have approximately 20-25 minutes maximum to explain their projects and
answer questions from you. The Dakota Central Partners will make the first
presentation as they were first to submit a proposal. The Johnsons will
excuse themselves from the meeting during the presentation as a courtesy to
Dakota Central Partners. After the meeting I will make copies of the
competing proposals to the two developers.
Another item on the agenda concerns the relocation of Repairs, Inc. an
obvious and necessary first step before the redevelopment of the site can
proceed. Because this issue cannot be resolved at the January 19 meeting,
no approval of either the Dakota Central partners or the Johnson proposal
can be considered.
The purpose of this agenda item is for you to get as much information as
possible about the two projects for a future decision which I hope will be
in February.
