RCC’s new machines coming in will have built-in misers and will be sensitive to more than just motion-sensing, including temperature monitoring, motion, etc. These will be Energy-Star rated devices. NEW BUSINESS a. Stormwater ponds – Water Subcommittee WHEP report indicates Schwartz pond, Keegan Lake, White Lake, and two others are carrying or capable of supporting fish. Met Council CAMP program and MPCA CMP lake water quality monitoring program could be used to start monitoring for chloride levels in Rosemount. The expected high level of chloride typically occurs in February. One goal of the project could be overall stormwater pond water quality improvement through education and human behavior changes along with chloride reduction in the 5 high quality ponds that support fish. We could contact WSB to target the most appropriate ponds for sampling, then target those surrounding neighbors for the MPCA monitoring program. Met Council’s CAMP or the MPCA’s advanced monitoring program could act as an improvement project once established. Rebecca will reach out to find out more about the MPCA CMP program and how we can reach out to the citizens to engage them in the program. ANNOUNCEMENTS The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
