Jim White, representing the White Funeral Home, will address the Board.
Mr. White wishes to construct a funeral home in Rosemount at the site
currently occupied by South Metro Auto Brokers. I believe Mr. White will
ask the Port Authority to do two things:
• Condemn the property as the present owner is unwilling to sell.
This would require a finding of blight and promotion of the
public good by the commissioners.
• Arrange long term financing for White Funeral Homes, probably 25
years.
It's my understanding White has had concept plans prepared by his general
contractor. At this writing I have not received them and I am guessing he
will distribute them at the meeting.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: No official action should be taken as this is
work session item. If you have interest, you may want to direct the
Port Authority staff to review the proposal.
