I have received some preliminary information from the Dakota County
Auditor's Office. In general I've been told:
• There are some minor errors in the calculation of the TIF
payment, e.g. Rosemount Plaza Condominiums were not broken out.
• Most of the discrepancy between the amount shown in the "Status
Report on Tax Increment Financing in Dakota County" and actually
received by the city is payment made to the Dakota County HRA.
To get more information on this, I will be meeting with Jessica Cook of the
HRA on Friday and the county auditor's staff on Monday. I expect to have
more information for you on Tuesday.
