At the December 3, 1991 City Council meeting, the Council
considered a rezoning petition submitted by Mr. Dave McKinley
for his business, Master Transmission. As you will recall, the
Council discussed the appropriateness of the proposed C-3 zoning
district and decided to initiate a rezoning from C-2 to C-4
instead. Due to the Planning Commission's meeting schedule
during the holidays, the earliest the rezoning hearing could be
scheduled is the January 21, 1992 City Council meeting. The
Planning Commission will have an opportunity to review and make
a recommendation on the rezoning at their January 14, 1992
Regular Meeting.
The Council also recommended that the Economic Development
Authority should examine the feasibility of assisting Mr.
McKinley through Tax Increment Financing. Tracie Pechonick,
E.D. Specialist, has been in contact will Mr. McKinley and he
has indicated that he does not want to explore the possibility
of EDA assistance at this time.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION to set a public hearing for
January 21, 1992 at 8:00 pm. to
consider the rezoning the Master
Transmission property from C-2 to C-4.

Rezoning Petition
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the City Council of the City of
Rosemount will hold a public hearing on Tuesday,
January 21, 1992 in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall, 2875 145th Street West, beginning at 8:00 p.m. or
as soon thereafter as possible.
The purpose of this hearing is to consider a request to
rezone property located at 14805 South Robert Trail and
legally described as Lot 1, Block 3, Evenson First
Addition, from C-2 Community Commercial to C-4 General
Commercial, to permit construction of a structure that
would expand a current legal non -conforming property
use. A rezoning from C-2 to C-4 would cause the
current auto service related use of property to be in
conformance with the ordinance and an expansion of that
business could be permitted, subject to the other
requirements of the Ordinance.
Persons wishing to speak on this issue are invited to
attend this meeting on Tuesday_, January 21, 1992 at
8:00 p.m.
