The City was approved for a matching grant of $ 70,000.00. For clarification, the grant was for a total of $ 70,000.00 of which $ 35,000.00 comes from state finances and the matching $ 35,000.00 comes from City of Rosemount funding The use of the funding was for the development over a three year period of Jaycee Park. For various reasons the park was not developed on the time table as identified in the grant proposal and in the City budget process. Ir I have met several times over the past year with the grant officers to discuss the delays and the potential request for an extension of the time frame regarding the expenditure of funding. A written request for the extension was submitted to them on December 2, 1991. Approval for the funding extension will be given when it is returned to the grant office with the appropriate signatures of the mayor and clerk. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Move to approve the request for an extension of the Jaycee Park Grant (OREC - 00 - 0012 - M - FY89 JAYCEE PARK ) and to authorize the appropriate signatures.
