The owner of Kady's, 14450 South Robert Trail, has opened the restaurant
side of the building and is requesting that his liquor license be amended
to allow him to serve liquor and beer in this area. The original license
application and subsequent renewals were only for the bar or lounge side of
the area.
Normally, I would consider this a routine request except Police Chief
Knutsen has brought to my attention incidents which has caused the police
department to become involved. These past incidents were in violation of
the City's Liquor License Ordinance. Based upon these past incidents, I
cannot recommend that the current license at Kady's be expanded to include
the restaurant side of the building.
I have informed Mr. Louie Walsh of my recommendation.

Dear Mrs. Walsh:
Per our telephone conversation today I am writing to you and the Council in regard to expansion of
the service area at Kady's. The service area has now been expanded to include the dining area, with
a full menu. Hours of service now are 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily with a Sunday luncheon buffet
from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. I am asking for permission from the Council to include this area as a
liquor service area. I have contacted my insurance agent per your request and the information you
requested should be sent to you.
I also note that we will seek your approval before changing hours of service when such approval is
required.
I look forward to hearing from you in regard to this matter and I extend an invitation to all of you to
join us for lunch or Sunday buffet.
