This item is presented to you for your approval and authorization to
obtain bids for the attached list of vehicles and equipment.
Each of the vehicles and their ancillary equipment, as well as each
piece of equipment, has been budgeted for in the 1992 C.I.P. As per
your earlier authorization these purchases will be made with equipment
certificates.
The:
Fire Department Hose truck replaces a 1978 truck and reel
discarded 3 years ago.
3/4 Ton 4x4 Pickup and plow replaces a 1986 4x4 Pickup and Plow
1/2 Ton Pickup replaces a 1983 1/2 Ton Pickup
3/4 Ton Cargo Van replaces a 1984 Ford LTD car from the fleet
Soils Compactor replaces an existing 8 year old model
4 -Wheel Drive 72" Mower replaces a 1987 John Deere Mower
Gas Powered Paint Sprayer replaces an existing latex sprayer
The skid -steer loader and the grounds and grass vacuum are new
(additional) pieces of equipment.
Upon receipt and tabulation of the bids, Staff will bring them back to
you for your review and further authorization of purchase.
These are the only vehicles and equipment purchases that will be
requested in 1992 from the C.I.P.
Because the specification package contains over 100 pages, we have not
copied them to you. We do have them on file and will make them
available to you at your request. Contact Cindy Dorniden and she will
make a copy for a specific vehicle or piece of equipment or the entire
package as you desire.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve the specifications and advertise
for bids for vehicles and equipment with a bid opening date of
February 24, 1992 at 10:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by
the City of Rosemount until 10:00 a.m., February 24, 1992 and will
then be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids are being requested
for the purchase of the following vehicles and equipment:
One (1) Rose Reel Hydraulic 4 Aluminum Bed
One (1) 1 -Ton Full Size 4x4 Truck Chassis N/Dual Rear
wheels
One (1) 1/2 Ton Pickup
One (1) 3/4 Ton Full Size 4x4 Pickup
One (1) Full Size Cargo*Van
One (1) Compactor
One (1) Rake 'n' Vac
One (1) 4 -Wheel Drive 72" High Capacity Trimming Mower
One (1) Skid -steer Loader
One (1) Gas Powered Air Sprayer
Ons (1) Snowplow for 3/4 Ton 484 Pickup
Specifications may be obtained through the office of the City
Clerk, City of Rosemount, 2875 145th Street West, Rosemount,
Minnesota 55068.
All bids shall be on forms on file in the office of the City
Clerk which will be furnished free to each bidder upon his request.
All bids must be sealed, marked "Bids for Purchase of 1992
Vehicles and Equipment" and addressed to the City Clerk. Each bid
shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid
bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price,
made payable to the City of Rosemount.
The City of Rosemount reserves the right to reject any and all
bids and to accept the bid it feels is in the best interest of the
community.
