The project consists of the installation of new utilities and street construction. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to receive questionsand comments regarding this project from the general public, and for Council to publicly approve the project and to proceed with plans and specifications. A legal notice of the hearing has been published as required by law and affected property owners have been sent notices The total project cost is $672,000, which includes $7,000 of trunk sanitary sewer facilities to serve the area to the north, and $108,000 of Storm Sewer Core Costs to Outlet Pond WAC204 (O'Leary's Hills Pond) to Wachter Pond (WAC202) The remaining $557,000 is proposed to be assessed to O'Leary's Hills 5th Addition and future additions, which are owned by Parkview, Inc The storm drain work may be phased, with a small segment completed with the 5th Addition and the remaining portion to be completed with the next addition to the south. The Utility Commission has reviewed this, project and has moved recommending approval of the project to Council. Dave Simons, P.E,, from SEH Engineering will present a brief overview and along with Staff, be available for questions. The major Comprehensive Guide Plan Amendment for Section 31 must be approved by Met Council prior to approval of the final plat for O'Leary's Hills 5th Addition. Therefore, as in previous projects in Section 31 (Project #233) Staff recommends approval of the project, ordering preparation of plans and specifications, and to later receive bids, but to hold the award of the project until the major Comprehensive Guide Plan Amendment for Section 31 has been approved by Met Council later this fall. COUNCIL ACTION: 3 CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 1992 - A RESOLUTION FOR APPROVAL OF O'LEARY'S HILLS 5TH ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT #232 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount by a unanimous vote ordered a feasibility report for O'Leary's Hills 5th Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project #232; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received and accepted the feasibility report on July 21, 1992 on City Project #232; and WHEREAS, the City Council ordered and held a public hearing to receive input on the project. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount hereby orders the improvements of O'Leary's Hills 5th Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project #232.
