Dean Sandstrom, our City mechanic, is certified to do such an inspection and does them for all the vehicles within the City. During one of these routine inspections, it was determined that the tanker, Unit #35195, needed repairs on the rear suspension in order to pass this years inspection. In order to minimize downtime of this vehicle as it is not allowed to be on the road for any length of time after; it has been cited, the repair process was begun with City Administrator authorization. Bids were solicited by Dean Sandstrom and Kraemer Spring was authorized'to do the -repairs at a cost of '$849.35. / Monies were budgeted in '1992 for emergency repairs of this type in Account #101-42210-01-221. We would look to the City Council to ratify this action and approve the expenditure for the above mentioned amount.
