The City of Rosemount has been negotiating with theFirstBaptist
Church for easements in connection with the Hawkins Pond Project and
the sanitary sewer project in connection with the pond project for
several years now.
There are three (3) easements totaling 2.76 acres that are being
negotiated for. Each parcel has been appraised by Metzen Appraisal
Service and offers have been made based on the appraisal. The last
offer reflecting the appraisal value was made by David Grannis, who is
representing the City, and rejected by the church.
The case has been authorized by Council for condemnation. That
condemnation trial is scheduled for October 27, 1992. David Grannis
would like to meet with Council on Tuesday night to update the Council
on the case.
Dave will inform and update all of us Tuesday night.
