TS: Resolution APP VE Y:' This item consists of adopting the attached resolution for the ordering of a feasibility study for the construction of 145th Street West between Shannon Parkway and ChippendaleAvenue.` This is the first step in the preparation for this phase of 145th Street Reconstruction, which is anticipated and proposed to occur in 1993. This phase of the project will include the realignment of Chippendale/Chili intersection; some reconstruction of Chili to accomplish the realignment; treatment of Dodd Boulevard at the intersection with Chippendale; possibly some reconstruction of Cimarron; all new utilities; surfacing and 'curb and gutter on 145th Street West. The project will also require negotiations for the acquisition of land currently occupied by the old Carroll farm. Portions of the cost of the project will be recovered through assessments, the balance will come from respective core accounts. There could be some extraneous costs associated with this project, such as the Carroll acquisition. The feasibility report will identify all of the costs and methods' ofrecovery. Because of the magnitude of the various components we need additional time to study and make recommendations. The original feasibility study that was prepared for the full length of 145th Street from Cameo to Diamond Path addresses some of the particulars, but needs refinement. Since OSM did the original` feasibility and would have the background information�it is our recommendation to have them prepare this updated report. RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION ORDERING AN UPDATED FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR 145TH STREET RECONSTRUCTION BETWEEN SHANNON PARKWAY AND CHIPPENDALE AVENUE, 2ND PHASE. COUNCIL ACTION: 2 CITY OF ROSEMOUNT RESOLUTION 1992 - A RESOLUTION ORDERING AN UPDATED FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR 145TH STREET RECONSTRUCTION BETWEEN SHANNON PARKWAY AND CHIPPENDALE AVENUE, 2ND PHASE CITY PROJECT # 235 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount deems it necessary to investigate the update of the feasibility of 145th Street West Reconstruction, 2nd Phase, City Project #235. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Engineer is directed to have the necessary feasibility report prepared by the Consulting Engineering firm of OSM, Inc. for 145th Street West Reconstruction, 2nd Phase, City Project #235.
