On June 11, 1992 the Membership Committee of the Rosemount Fire Department
met to discuss the Probationary period of James Trachet and Terry, Mooney.
The officers of the fire department submitted their evaluations of the two
firefighters over the past two year period. Both firefighters were
operating under the old bylaws which required a one year's probation. That
probationary period had been extended to allow them to complete state
certification.' The extension was necessary due to the scheduling of the
state test and was i no way any comment on the ability of either one of
the firefighters.
The Membership Committee also received input from all of the members of the
fire department. Input was also given by the officers of the fire'
department who ;were directly responsible for the evaluation of these two
probationary people. After reviewing all of the information,the
Membership Committee's recommendation was that both James Trachet and Terry
Mooney be taken off probationary status andbeconsidered regular members
of the Rosemount Fire Department. This information was forwarded to the
Fire Chief, City Administrator, and now the City Council for your
ratification and approval.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion to approve James Trachet and Terry Mooney as regular members of
the Rosemount Fire Department as of July 22, 1992, having successfully
completed their probationary period.
