NOTES / SUMMARY
The concept plans for the lighting of the hockey ri'ks in rickson
Community Square and the rink in Jaycee Park were discussed previously.
A video of the type of lighting proposed in the bid was also shown at a -
previous council meeting.
Advertising for the Projects did take place with 'three bidders
responding. Although three vendors responded to our ad for bids, upon
advice of our city attorney one of the bids was not accepted due to an
original draft of a bid bond with signatures not being included. The
result was two acceptable bids with the quotes listed below.

Funding for this project is recommend; to come from account:
CIP # 202 -24412 tor 15,000 (encumbered from past years for this
project), CIP # 202 2441 for $ 8,591, & CIP # 534 for $ 7,531
NOTE: CIP # 534 was identified for Shannon Park to be used for park
improvements. Staff felt that funds would best be used to complete this
rink project and that a small shelter that was included in these
general improvements should be delayed until a later date. This is in
line with previous Council action to encumber dollars into account
# 202 - 24415 for pa -k shelters.

Funding for this project is identified to come from the following f
