The law firm of Hertog, Fluegal, Sieben, Polk, Jones and LaVerdV'e re, with
whom the City has a contract with, is breaking apart. I have been advised
that the attorneys that provide service to the City of Rosemount now will
be forming a new corporation.
In order to continue the legal services as now provided it would be
necessary to formally authorize the transfer of the current files to the
new firm and to authorize the completion of a contract with the new firm
under the same terms and conditions as the existing one.
Mr. Mike Miles, representing the firm, will provide additional information
to you on this matter and answer any questions relating to the matter.
If the Council chooses to transfer legal services to the new firm the
recommended action should be taken.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to authorize the transfer of the contract
for legal services from the firm of Hertog,
Fluegal, Sieben, Polk, Jones and LaVerdiere to
the firm of Effective 9-2-92
