On Monday, August 31, 1992 bids for the referenced project were
received and read aloud publicly. Five bids were received and are
listed for your review on the attached bidtabulation.
The low bid received is from Erickson Construction, Inc., 13616
Pleasant Lane, Burnsville, MN 55337 in the amount of $162,411.40.
The engineers estimate was $180,000.00 based on 1991 and 1992
construction costs.
The firm of OSM & Associates, engineer for the project, and Staff
recommend the award of Project No. 234, to Erickson Construction, Inc.
in the amount of $162,411.40.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND
AWARDING CONTRACT FOR SHANNON HILLS 4TH ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY
IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #234.

Dear Mr. Osmundson:
Bids were received for the referenced project at 10:00 a.m. on August 31, 1992 and were
opened and read aloud. A total of five responsible bids were received. Erickson
Construction Inc., 13616 Pleasant U-ne, Burnsville, MN 55337 submitted the lowest bid in
the amount of One Hundred Sixty Two 'Thousand and Four Hundred Eleven and Forty
100ths ($162,411.40). The bids were checked for mathematical accuracy and tabulated.
We recommended award of the Contract to Erickson Construction, Inc. in the amount of
$162,411.40.
Enclosed is the bid tabulation.

RESOLUTION 1992 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT
FOR SHANNON HILLS 4TH ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY
IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 234
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as
follows:
1. All bids on construction of Shannon Hills 4th Addition Street and Utility
Improvements are hereby received and tabulated.
2. The bid of .Erickson Construction, Inc., in the amount of $162,411.40
for the construction of said improvements in accordance with the plans
and specifications and advertisement for bids is the lowest responsible
bid and shall be and hereby is accepted.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into
a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements
for and on behalf of the City of Rosemount.
4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to
all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of
all successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained
until a contract has been executed.
