This item consists of approval of plans and specifications for the -
Section 31, Trunk Sanitary Sewer Facilities. We have a set of Plans
and Specifications on file for examination. You have also been
provided plans in your packet.
The feasibility report was accepted by Council at the July 7th
meeting. The Public Hearing was held on July 21, 1992. The next step
in the process is now to approve the plans and specifications and
authorize Staff to advertise for bids on the project.
A bid opening date has been set for 10:00 a.m. on September 25, 1992.
Ads will be placed in the City's official newspaper and the
Construction Bulletin. We will not award the project until the major
Comprehensive Guide Plan Amendment for Section 31 is approved by Met
Council.
Dave Simons, P.E., from SEH and myself will be at the meeting for any
discussion you may have regarding this issue.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZE THE ADVERTISING OF BIDS FOR SECTION 31
TRUNK SANITARY SEWER FACILITIES, PROJECT #233.

RESOLUTION 1992 -
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS
SECTION 31, TRUNK SANITARY SEWER FACILITIES
CITY PROJECT #233
WHEREAS, the Consulting Engineers for the City have prepared final plans and
specifications for the Section 31, Trunk Sanitary Sewer Facilities, Project #233,
and such plans and specifications have been presented to this Council for
approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Rosemount, Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on
file in the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City
newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon
the making of such improvements under such approved plans and
specifications for City Project #233.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least
once not less than three (3) weeks before the date set for opening bids,
shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be publicly
opened on September 25, 1992 at 10:00 a.m. o'clock at Rosemount City
Hall in said City and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed
with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check,
bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five (5%) percent
of the amount of such bid.
