The Rosemount American Legion has applied for a three day temporary beer
license which would allow this club to sell beer in its parking lot in
conjunction with its annual Booya Day. The American Legion has requested a
three day license rather than a one day (as in past years) since they plan
to have additional activities such as amusement rides for small children,
craft booths, cotton candy machine, etc. during the period of September 5,
6 and 7.
Although Booya will only be sold on September 7, the Commander advised they
are trying to expand this function over the Labor Day weekend by offering
more activities.
The American Legion has paid its $30 application fee and are in the process
of obtaining its dram shop insurance for the parking lot area.
RECONKENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE ISSUANCE OF A TEMPORARY 3.2% BEER
LICENSE TO THE ROSEMOUNT AMERICAN LEGION FOR THE PERIOD OF SEPTEMBER 5
THROUGH SEPTEMBER 7, 1992 SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OF PROOF OF LIQUOR
LIABILITY INSURANCE.
