This item consists of approval of plans and specification efor the
Diamond Path Reconstruction. A set of Plans and Specifications is on
file in my office for your examination.
The feasibility report was accepted by Council on September 4, 1990.
The Public Hearing was held earlier this evening. The next step is to
approve the plans and specifications and authorize Staff to seek bids
on the project. A bid opening date has been set for 10:30 a.m. on May
4, 1992. (See Agenda Item 5k for Project #206)
Advertisement will be placed in the City's official newspaper and
Construction Bulletin by Dakota County Staff.
Following the receipt and opening of bids, Staff will come back to
Council for acceptance of bids on May 5, 1992.
Ron Wasmund and I will, be at the meeting for any discussion you may
have regarding this issue.

RESOLUTION 1992 -
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS
DIAMOND PATH RECONSTRUCTION

DAKOTA COUNTY PROJECT #33-03
WHEREAS, the Consulting Engineers for the City and Dakota County have
prepared final plans and specifications for Diamond Path Reconstruction, Project
#212, Dakota County Project #33-03, and such plans and specifications have
been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Rosemount, Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on
file in the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City and Dakota County Department of Highways are entering into an
agreement to jointly construct the improvements described as City Project
No. 212 and Dakota County Project No. 33-03.
3. Dakota County is acting as the Administrative Agency for the project, and
said County Staff shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the Official City
Newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon
the making of such improvements under such approved plans and
specifications for City Project No. 212.
4. City Project No. 206 and Dakota County Project No. 33-03 (City Project
No. 212) are "tied" together for bid opening, award and contracting
purposes.
5. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least
once not less than three (3) weeks before the date set for opening bids,
shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be publicly
opened on May 4, 1992 at 10:30 o'clock a. m. at the Dakota County
Auditor's office at 1590 West Highway 55, Hastings, Minnesota and that
no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City and County
representatives and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid
bond or certified check payable to the City of Rosemount and Dakota
County for five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid.
ADOPTED this 7th day of April, 1992.
