AGENDA ITEM:. Dodd Road. Speed Study AGENDA SECTION:
At the November 17, 1992 City Council meeting, Council asked that
Staff proceed with a traffic analysis and speed study for Dodd Road
from 132nd Street to McAndrews Road (County Road 38). The State DOT
requires that a resolution be passed by the City Council when asking
for a speed study. Therefore, Staff recommends the adoption of a
resolution requesting the Commissioner of Transportation to conduct a
speed study for Dodd Road from 132nd Street to McAndrews Road (County
Road 38).
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE
COMMISSIONER OF TRANSPORTATION TO CONDUCT A SPEED STUDY FOR DODD
ROAD FROM 132ND STREET TO MCANDREWS ROAD.

RESOLUTION 1992 -
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COMMISSIONER OF TRANSPORTATION
TO CONDUCT A SPEED STUDY FOR DODD ROAD
FROM 132ND STREET TO McANDREWS ROAD (COUNTY ROAD 38)
WHEREAS, State law authorizes only the Commissioner of Transportation to set speed limits
along public streets and highways that don't fall under the "Urban District" classification as
defined in M.S.L. 169.01, Subdivision 59; and
WHEREAS, Dodd Road is such a street that the City recently was given jurisdiction over;
and
WHEREAS, the „City of Rosemount is concerned for safety of its residents travelling these
streets.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
The Commissioner of Transportation authorize a speed study on Dodd Road from 132nd
Street to McAndrews Road (County Road 38).
ADOPTED this 15th day of December, 1992.
