Through referrals I have interviewed candidates for the tempo4ey Planning
Intern position. I am recommending that the City Council approve the
hiring of Marie Darling. Ms. Darling is currently a graduate student in
Urban Planning at the University of. Kansas. She has an undergraduate
degree in geography from the University of Minnesota. Ms. Darling will
work 12 weeks at $7.00 per hour with the total salary not to exceed $3,840.
If authorized, Ms. Darling is expected to begin work on May 20 or shortly
thereafter.
The intern position will be paid for from money allocated for that purpose.
in the 1992 Planning Department Budget.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
A motion to approve the employment of Marie Darling as Planning Intern
for 12 weeks with the total salary not to exceed $3,840.
