The selection process for the position of Economic Development Coordinator
has been completed.
Sixty six applications for the position were received. Of those sixty six_
applicants seven were chosen to interview. The seven chosen were selected
based on their scoring high, relative to others, based on their
qualifications, education and experience.
Mayor McMenomy, Port Authority Chairperson Dunn and I conducted interview
and based on those interviews and background checks we are able to
recommend the hiring of an individual. At this writing we are awaiting the
response to an offer made to this candidate.
We will provide a recommendation to you at the meeting if the offer is
accepted.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion to approve the recommendation of the interview team for the
hiring of the Economic Development Coordinator.
