On October 27th the City Council discussed several items relating to the
1993 budgets. The Council did consider a motion to freeze salaries at the
level they would be at on December 31st, 1992. This motion failed due to a
two - two tie. One Councilmember was absent. The Council directed that
this item be reconsidered at the next regular Council meeting.
That is the purpose for having this item back on the agenda.
The exact motion that was made was " Motion to establish a policy that the
City Council will seek a salary freeze on all City employees for January
1,1993.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:To Consider the motion made and which failed on
October 27 which read as follows - to establish a
Policy that the City Council will seek a salary
freeze on all City employees for January 1,1993.
