This item is a request to spend up to $1,300 for the purchase of 2
replacement sets of fire gear. Minnesota Conway Fire and Safety has
received the Minnesota Fire Consortium Joint Purchasing Agency Contract for
supplying this bunker gear. The approximate cost for a set of gear is
$650.00 for the coat and pants. One firefighter is in need of having gear
replaced at this time. The second set would be purchased as needed during
1992.
Money for this expense has been budgeted in Account #101-42210-01-218. -
With the purchase of 3 sets of gear earlier in the year to outfit our 3 new
firefighters, these 2 replacement sets would make a total of 5 new sets of
gear replaced during 1992 and would deplete that line item of our budget.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion to approve the purchase of 2 replacement sets of bunker gear at
a total cost of $1,300.00, with monies for this expenditure to come
from Account #101-42210-01-218.
