McMenomy COUNCIIMEMBERS Sheila Klassen James (Red) Steals Harry Willoox Dennis Wippermann ADMINISTRATOR Stephan Jilk Arrangements have been made with Metropolitan Council and the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) to come to Rosemount on May 7, 1992 at 7:00 p.m. to talk with the City Council, Planning Commission, and Port Authority about the airport relocation planning process. Nigel Finney, MAC's Director of Planning, will be here to present an overview of the site selection process and how it fits into the overall Dual Track Airport Study. Mr. Finney has been asked to focus in on ways that the affected communities will be involved in the process. Either Chauncey Case or John Kari from the Metropolitan Council's airport planning staff will be present to discuss the Council's ongoing role with the Airport planning process. Hopefully, they will be able to inform the City about airport issues that may affect their review of the Comprehensive Guide Plan update. Also, Bob Overby of the Metropolitan Council staff will provide a summary of the Council's Land Use Review requirements for zoning and land use plan changes in the designated search area. In making arrangement for this meeting, I have indicated that we would like these individuals to be available for questions. Prior to the meeting I will be providing you with additional background information. cc: Planning Commission Port Authority (Sverylhings Cooming `+CJI,p RosemOuv'IY A recvctetl oaoer
