General Information
Expo 1992 at Dakota County Technical College in
Rosemount will bring the vital link between
education and business to life.
Businesses will have the chance to let a diverse
business and community audience know about
their company's products and services. Both
business operators and representatives will be
able to build their network of contacts as well as
increase community awareness of their products
and services. More than 150 exhibitors are
expected to be a part of Expo 1992.
Expo visitors also will be able to see technical
education in action. Many of the more than 50
areas of study at Dakota County Technical
College will be putting on displays and
demonstrations for Expo 1992 visitors thoughout
the day. Information on full-time, part-time and
Customized Training courses for both community
and business visitors will be available.
Thousands of people are expected to visit Expo
1992. Some will come to take part in consumer -
oriented seminars, others to find out about the
businesses operating in Dakota County, still
others to see what the technical college has to
offer.
Exhibitor Information
Expo 1992 offers exhibitors a broad business -to -
business and consumer base. To enhance the
partnership tie between business and education,
a. variety of consumer -oriented seminars will be
offered. Companies and individuals who exhibit
may choose to offer a seminar at Expo 1992. Those
interested in offering a seminar should submit a
written proposal outlining the information they
intend to cover. (Each seminar is subject to
approval by the Expo 1992 Screening Committee,
and is subject to a seminar presentation fee.)
Marketing for Expo 1992
Billboard space has been reserved in several key
Dakota County locations to help build public
awareness of the event. In addition, a variety of
print and broadcast advertising is planned to assist
in making people aware of the April 22 event. A
special advertising supplement is scheduled to
appear in the Star Tribune one week before Expo
1992.
In addition, each of the Dakota County Chambers
of Commerce, the Dakota County Private Industry
Council, the Dakota County Employment and
Training Center and Dakota County Technical
College plan to utilize their powerful networks to
inform and educate the organizations they deal
with.
Logistics
All of the exhibit booths will be set up in the
technical college building. A fax machine, local
telephone and hospitality room will be provided to
exhibitors at no additional charge. Dakota County
Technical College is a tobacco -free environment.
Use of tobacco and tobacco products are prohibited
inside the building.
