At the October 1, 1991 City Council Meeting, the Council set a
public hearing for November 19, 1991 for the Master Transmission
Rezoning Petition. The Council also requested that staff review
the tape recordings of the Council Meetings when this section of
the Zoning Ordinance was discussed and report their findings to
the Council and Planning Commission.
Due to a misunderstanding of the intent of the motion passed by
the Council, Planning staff did not publish a public hearing
notice for tonight's meeting.
Planning staff is just completing its investigation of the City
Council's deliberations on the 1989 Zoning Ordinance revision.
As well, the EDA will be hosting the first workshop on the
Downtown Plan on Saturday, November 23, 1991, and after the
workshop, the Planning Commission and Council will be in a
better position to review this Rezoning Petition. Therefore,
Planning staff is recommending that the hearing be reset for
December 3, 1991.
I will provide a verbal explanation of this item under
Department Heads Report. Council's consideration for resetting
the public hearing date will be under the Consent Agenda.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION to reset a public hearing for
December 3, 1991 to consider at 8:00 p.m.
