On December 12, 1991 the Membership Committee of the Rosemount Fire
Department met to discuss the probationary period of Kevin Tucker. The
Membership Committee accepted input from all members of the fire
department. The officers of the fire department submitted their evaluation'
of Kevin Tucker over the past 18 month period. Kevin was operating under
the old bylaws which required a one years probation. That probationary
period had been extended for a six month period to allow him to complete
state certification. The six month extension was necessary due to the
scheduling of the state test and was in no way any comment on Kevin's
ability.
The Membership. Committee also received input from all of the members of the
fire department. Input was also given by the officers of the fire -
department who were directly responsible for the evaluation of Kevin's
performance during hisprobationaryperiod. After reviewing all of the
information, the Membership Committee's recommendation was that Kevin
Tucker be taken off of probationary status and be considered a regular
member of the Rosemount Fire Department. This information was forwarded to
the Fire Chief, City Administrator, and now the city council for your
ratification and approval.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion to approve Kevin Tucker as a regular member of the Rosemount
Fire Department as of December 17, 1991, having successfully completed
his probationary period.
