This item is a request to send two persons to the Minnesota State Fire
School. The Minnesota State Fire School will be held in Bloomington spread
out among 4 different hotel/motels along Highway 494. This school is very
similar to the weekend classes we send fire fighters to. A few changes
would be that it involves classes being spread out over a 3 day period, a
banquet and a possible address by the governor. The cost for 2 fire
fighters would be $170.
Money has been budgeted in the 1991 budget for this expense. It would be
coming from Account #101-42210-01-308.
The Minnesota State Fire School is scheduled to be held on May 3, 4, and 5,
1991.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion by the city council to allow the fire department to send 2 fire
fighters to the Minnesota State Fire School at a cost of $170•.00.
COUNCIL ACTION:
Approved.
