Enclosed are the following items: 1. A summary of current service delivery agreements for Dakota County and constituent cities. 2. The list of service delivery agreements for your specific city. 3. A list of eleven additional service areas which we are considering for potential cooperation. 4. A draft letter to members of our legislative delegation. The intent is to mail the letter and information to each of our representatives. Please discuss the enclosed information with your Council or Board at a future meeting. We would like each Council/Board to: Review the eleven additional service areas we identified and select the top 3-5 items to pursue. Discuss the possibility of a future mayor/manager meeting to further explore possible shared services. Endorse the idea of sending the attached letter and information to our legislative delegation. The purpose is to share the examples of cooperative services already in place and describe some of the efforts to expand these services. If your Council/Board does endorse the concept of sending the letter and information to our legislators, I would ask that each City distribute the information to their own legislators. If you have any questions, please give me a call at 895-4469. JS/mc Enclosures
