If you recall on March 26, 1991, the fire department membership approved
salaries to be forwarded to the city council. See attachment "A". On
May 7, 1991 the city council approved salaries for the fire department as
indicated on attachment "B".
On upon beginning to enter the information into the computer it was noticed
that the salary for the fire prevention coordinator/assistant fire marshal
had been inadvertently left off the proposal which was forwarded to the
city council. This position should have been suggested to receive $210.00
annually. I apologize for the inconvenience that this causes in having to
bring it back to the city council for additional consideration. If the
proposal, which was approved on May 7, 1991 by city council, were to be
amended to include $210.00 annually for the fire prevention
coordinator/assistant fire marshal the total salary package would look like
that which is on attachment "C".
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion by city council to amend the fire department
salaries which were approved on May 7, 1991 to include $210.00 annually
for the fire prevention/assistant fire marshal's position, and be it
further understood that the entire salary package would be that which is
indicated by attachment "C".
